Dear WIS families,
As we welcome a new school year, the district has implemented a few safety measures to keep our students, staff and visitors safe while in our schools. The district will be implementing an electronic visitor management system (similar to what you’ve experienced in many other schools). All visitors (parents, guardians, community members, vendors, contractors, service providers, etc.) will be required to check in/out at the front office of each school during each visit. This allows us to know who is in the building and for what purpose. If an emergency were to arise, we would know who we need to account for and their location.
Please be prepared to present a state or tribal ID when you check-in at the front office of any school building during school hours. This will help expedite the process. If you do not have a state or tribal ID, we will be able to enter your information into the system. Every visitor entering the building beyond the front office will need to follow this process. You will then receive a visitor badge which is a sticky name tag to wear while in the building. Visitors will need to check out prior to exiting the building as well. This will ensure we know who is in the building in case of an emergency.
The electronic visitor management system is one of the many safety measures the district is implementing to continue to keep everyone safe at school. We appreciate your patience with us as we work to learn the new system. Please contact your student’s building if you have any questions.
Hohou,
